This Scope of Work (SOW) defines work to be completed for the purpose of analyzing areas of LA County for Dengue virus transmission risk. Vendor services with geospatial analytic expertise is needed to determine areas of highest risk of dengue transmission to inform departmental outreach and vector control activities. The vendor will provide services to develop a methodology and spatial analysis of local Los Angeles County data to identify regions in the county particularly vulnerable to Dengue virus transmission. The vendor will identify and extract relevant data (including, but not limited to, demographic and environmental data) develop a methodology, perform spatial analysis, validate data and reconfigure the methodology, and develop StoryMaps—interactive maps and data—of LA County Dengue transmission data, compatible with hosting on ArcGIS Online. In this Work Order (Scope of Work), DPH seeks a vendor with the expertise and capacity to: 1. Collect data (demographic and environmental data) related to the transmission of Dengue virus; 2. Develop a methodology and complete a spatial analysis of Dengue transmission risk; 3. Validate risk model using data from 2025-2026 season; and 4. Produce and submit final technical documentation and ArcGIS Online-compatible LA County dengue transmission risk map.
