Task 1: Management of Job Search activities for PA applicants and recipients. Deliverable 1: Provide a supervised job search program to meet the volume and needs of the PA applicant and recipient population for MCDSS. 1.1 Supervised job search will consist of at least weekly facilitated “in-person group” sessions to supplement and support the supervised job search activity 1.1.1 Group meetings should be “off-site,” not delivered at MCDSS buildings 1.1.2 Group meetings should include visits from Human Resource professionals and employers with immediate employment opportunities. 1.1.3 Group meetings should include introductions to Basic Financial Literacy available in our community, such as but not limited to engagement with the Financial Empowerment Center 1.1.4 Group meetings will provide participants with assistance in resume writing and identification of their job skills if necessary 1.1.5 Group facilitators should be consistently espousing the benefits of financial stability and growth of personal wealth 1.2 Conduct the job search program in accordance with the Monroe County Employment plan and all applicable New York State and Federal work regulations 1.1 Provide a tracking mechanism and job search leads for participants as well as verifying context as a supervised job search. Create an agreed upon tracking and verification system for supervised job search 1.2 Provide weekly calendar listing what employers and human resource professionals and financial literature instruction presented at group meetings Task 2: Provide Resource Materials necessary to support clients in the Job Search program. Deliverables: 2.1 Creation of a weekly “Job Search Companion” newsletter/guide using behaviorally informed language to assist job seekers with job search tips, interview tips, and leads on area businesses hiring 2.2 Provide up to the minute leads on job openings with local employers 2.3 Provide resources for upcoming local events such as hiring events, financial literacy programs, community events 2.4 Educate participants on the benefits of the NYS Earned Income Disregard program
