1. General Requirements One (1) new diesel engine-driven generator set, rated 200kW standby, 250kVA at 0.8 PF, 208/120 VAC, 3-phase, 4-wire, 60 Hertz at 1800 RPM. The generator shall be designed for outdoor use and comply with all relevant industry standards. 2. Listing and Emissions UL2200 Listed. The engine must be US EPA Stationary Emergency Certified. 3. Cooling System Radiator rated for 122-degree F open-air ambient temperature, unit-mounted. Jacket water heater, one 3000-watt heater with thermostatic controls, 208-240 VAC single-phase input. 4. Starting System Electric starting motor, 24VDC. High output 24VDC lead-acid battery set with rack and cables. An automatic dual-rate battery charger with 10 ampsisinstalled in the genset enclosure,requiring 120 VAC input. The charger must include a DC voltmeter, DC ammeter, AC fuse, DC fuse, automatic float/equalize control, and low-voltage alarm. 5. Instrumentation & Controls Electronic governor with solid-state speed control board, +/- 0.25% regulation. Digital genset controller with LCD display for real-time monitoring. Instrumentation must include AC metering (volts, amps, frequency, kW, kVA, kVAr, power factor), DC metering (battery volts, engine hours, engine temperature, oil pressure, engine speed), and fault event logging. Protection features must include shutdowns for fail-to-start, low oil pressure, high engine temperature, overspeed/underspeed, voltage/frequency deviations, and other critical conditions. Remote annunciator panel (16 positions) and remote emergency stop station. 6. Generator (Alternator) Single bearing, 3-phase, 4-wire, standby-rated alternator with: o PM excitation system. o Voltage regulator with +/- 0.25% regulation from 0% to 100% load. o Main circuit breaker, 800AF/800AT. 7. Enclosure Weather-protective, sound-attenuated enclosure with: o 14-gauge steel construction. o Two (2) single access doors per side. o Standard alkyd enamel finish. 8. Exhaust System Critical grade silencer with flexible exhaust connector. 9. Fuel System Nominal 96-hour double-wall UL-listed fuel tank base. Low fuel level switch and alarm. Rupture basin leak detection alarm. 10. Automatic Transfer Switch One (1) automatic service entrance transfer switch rated 600A, 208/120 VAC, 3-pole, 3-phase, 4- wire, 60 Hz. Switch must include an in-phase monitor, an engine exerciser, and a NEMA 3R enclosure. 11. Turn-Key Installation The contractor shall provide all necessary site preparation and installation for the generator system, including: o New, elevated, and isolated 3000 psi concrete equipment pad. o Electrical infrastructure to support facility-wide demand loads. o 600A standby power feeder to the new service entrance automatic transfer switch. o All required permitting, engineering fees, and coordination with local authorities. 12. Additional Services Project management. Delivery, offloading, and installation. Start-up and testing, including a 2-hour resistive load bank test on-site. Operator training (up to 2 hours, single trip). One (1) set of operation and maintenance manuals. Two (2) years warranty from start-up date. 13. Miscellaneous Freight included, F.O.B. factory. All work to comply with applicable NFPA, EPA, and local regulations.
