This PhotoVoice project invites students in Lawrenceville to explore and share their personal perspectives on their community by responding to the prompt: “This is how I see Lawrenceville.” Through photography and storytelling, students will capture images that reflect their experiences, values, and dreams related to their neighborhoods, schools, parks, culture, and daily life. Objectives: • Empower students to express their voices through creative visual storytelling. • Promote critical thinking and community awareness. • Showcase diverse perspectives of life in Lawrenceville from the youth’s point of view. • Foster civic pride and spark conversations about community strengths and needs. Project Format: • Workshops: Students will attend 2–3 guided workshops on photography, ethics, and narrative writing. • Photo Collection: Each student will submit 3–5 photographs that represent how they see Lawrenceville. • Narratives: Students will write short captions or narratives to accompany each photo. • Exhibition: Selected works will be displayed in a community showcase at a local venue or online gallery.
