Elko County is requesting proposals from a qualified consulting agency according to the provisions of NRS 332.065 to act as a Consulting Service Provider (CSP) for the HumboldtRubies Trail (HRT) Feasibility Study. The cost of the Project will be based on a guaranteed maximum price (GMP). This project parallels an existing NDOT-identified bicycling route. Some sections of the trail are complete. There are about 20 miles to be constructed which can be prioritized into four phases. Phase 1 connects Elko and Spring Creek to Lamoille Summit Trail System, 5 miles. Phase 2 connects the Elko West Exit to the California Trail Center 3-6 miles. Phase 3 connects the Spring Creek bike path to Lamoille Canyon Forest Service Road, 5.5 miles. Phase 4 from the CA Trail Center to Carlin is 6.5 miles. Elko County is the lead agency for this project. The consultant selected for the project will work under the Elko County Natural Resources Director. The consultant will be responsible for: ● General management of the project ● Drafting and preparation of plan documents ● Graphic and other services ● Data collection, analysis and presentations to local governing boards The staff of the Elko County Community Development Department will be available for support in the following areas: ● Provide readily available GIS data for Elko County. ● Coordination of meetings
