The Jack Hill Conference Center is one story building of approximately 20,000sf in Rincon, GA. The program includes multiple assembly spaces with differing sizes to accommodate various meetings and events. The program is supported by a catering kitchen, public restrooms, and necessary service requirements. The design of the building incorporates a covered front entry and an adjacent courtyard – partially under roof, in addition to a partially enclosed plaza outside the main conference space. The building structure will predominantly consist of structural steel beams and columns. The flat roof framing will be 1 ½” steel roof deck over steel beams and steel joists. The sloped roof framing will be 1 ½” steel roof deck over pre-engineered light gauge steel trusses. The exterior walls will be framed with concrete masonry units (CMU). Steel moment frames and vertical braces will be utilized to resist lateral loads.
