Presently, there is one (1) pile of brush and logs to be processed by either a horizontal or tub grinder. All logs and brush located on site are to be processed by a Mobark 1300/1,000 horsepower tub grinder, or approved equivalent. The logs and brush shall first be processed through a 4 ½” screen, and then this same material shall be processed through a 1 ½” screen. All logs and brush from the pile shall ultimately be processed to a 1” to 2” size, and then left on site by the vendor to be used in the Town’s composting operation. No more than 5% residual of the ground logs and brush shall be in excess of 2” in size. The Town will support the grinding operation with one (1) operator and one (1) front end loader with a grapple bucket. The vendor must provide sufficient staff to safely operate all equipment that is brought to the work site to complete the task.
