Describe Current State of Coordination and Intercity Bus Statewide 1. Meet with the NDDOT to review project scope and refine the work plan at the beginning of the project. 2. Conduct an assessment to identify the transportation needs of individuals with disabilities, seniors, and people with low incomes; provide strategies for meeting those local needs and prioritize transportation services and projects for funding and implementation. 3. Assess the available services, identify current transportation providers (public, private, and nonprofit) and inventory of existing means of personal mobility (agency vehicles, other transportation vehicles in service area.) 4. Assess the perceptions of passengers, intercity bus service providers, human service organizations, local government agencies, and other stakeholders regarding the availability, quality, price, financial viability, and users’ awareness of transportation services. 5. Conduct an inventory of intercity bus routes in North Dakota, documenting routes, providers, feeder services, schedules and frequency, communities served, stations and stops, connections within the state and to nationwide service, fares, passengers served, and other pertinent information. 6. Identify all intercity bus providers operating in North Dakota and describe their routes, services, passengers served, fleet size, facilities, number of employees, operating costs, revenues, and grant funding. 7. Review laws and policies that support, inhibit, or otherwise affect coordination service in North Dakota. 8. Submit a summarized report from the results of Tasks 1-7. 3.3.2 Assess Gaps and Needs 9. Identify strategies, activities, and/or projects to address the identified gaps between current services and needs, as well as opportunities to improve efficiencies in service delivery. 10. Develop priorities for implementation based on resources (from multiple program sources), time, and feasibility for implementing specific strategies and/or activities identified. 11. Identify measurable results, as defined in the FTA circulars Section 5310 9070.1H and FTA Section 5311 9040.1H. 12.
