MoDOT seeks a qualified bidder to install carpet squares in its MoDOT General Services Building. Approximately 30,071 square feet of carpet tile will be removed and replaced. MoDOT has Mohawk 24" x 24" multi-directional carpet tile on hand for contractor to install. MoDOT will supply carpet adhesive. Contractor to install approximately 5,601 linear feet of cove base to be supplied by MoDOT. MoDOT will supply cove base adhesive for installation. Any additional items required for a complete and functional system will be Contractor's responsibility. Contractor will be required to lift and lower cubical workstations throughout the project. Electrical will be disconnected and reconnected by MoDOT if needed. Once carpet is placed, contractor will be required to cleanup all debris for MoDOT personnel to occupy the work area. Contractor will be responsible for properly disposing of existing carpet and debris. ALL loose items and personal belonging shall be removed by the owner. Cubical work area will be cleared of all personal object, documents, and computers screens will be placed screen down on the work surface, etc. by owner. Contractor will be allowed to use elevator if necessary to transport new carpet and debris to and from second floor. Any damage to elevator or MoDOT premises will be contractor responsibility to repair. Multiple phases for this project to be completed is expected. Each phase needs to be outlined in awarded contractors construction schedule. This will allow MoDOT to inform employees so there are no delays. Work will be performed during normal business hours. Should contractor elect to work during off hours approval by MoDOT is required.
