Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Project Overview a. The Shawsheen Valley Regional Vocational Technical School District seeks qualified contractors to provide all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision required for the repair and resurfacing of Five (5) tennis courts located. The services shall include surface preparation, crack repair, resurfacing, line painting, and optional upgrades as specified. This procurement is conducted pursuant to Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 30B. 2. Scope of Services a. Site Preparation i. Clean & Inspect court surfaces for damage & debris. ii. Remove vegetation, dirt & foreign materials from court surface & perimeter with the use of brooms & air pressure. iii. Ensure proper drainage around perimeter of court. b. Crack Repair i. Repair all visible structural and surface cracks with Novabond crack filler or Duracal. Minor crack should be filled with acrylic material at contractors’ discretion. ii. Install four (4) membrane layers of Armor Crack Repair System over filled cracks per manufacturers specifications. c. Surface Repair & Leveling i. Patch all low areas, holes, or surface irregularities. ii. Ensure that patched areas are cured and leveled flush with the existing surface. d. Resurfacing i. Apply a minimum of two (2) coats of acrylic resurfacer. ii. Apply two (2) coats of acrylic color coating in standard tennis court colors (green playing area with red or blue surrounding area, or as specified). iii. All coatings must be approved by the U.S. Tennis Association (USTA). e. Line Painting i. Apply regulation tennis court lines using white acrylic textured line paint. ii. Confirm line dimensions meet USTA standards. f. Court Installations i. Remove and install four (4) new center anchors in concrete. 1. Existing anchors shall be fully removed and replaced with new center anchors set in concrete to regulation depth and alignment. ii. Remove and install four (4) new center anchors in concrete. 1. Existing anchors shall be fully removed and replaced with new center anchors set in concrete to regulation depth and alignment. iii. Lightly sand and paint nine (9) existing net posts. 1. Clean and prep the surface with light sanding. 2. Apply one (1) coat of primer and one (1) coat of rust-resistant exterior paint in a standard tennis post color.
