1. SAMPLE COLLECTION MATERIALS AND TRANSPORT All containers for the collection and shipment of samples for PFAS and AOF analyses and all quality control samples must be provided by the Contractor. The Contractor must provide directions regarding the specific volumes of samples required for each type of container and instructions for special handling to prevent sample contamination. Any other accessories or materials required for sampling shall be provided with containers. Sample containers, accessories, and any other materials required for sampling, and coolers or other larger containers to be used for sample transport or shipment, shall be provided to the District within fourteen (14) business days of purchase order issuance and can be sent using a carrier service or delivered directly by the Contractor’s courier. The Contractor will also provide up to ten (10) liters of PFAS-free water to be delivered with sample containers, accessories, and all other sampling materials to be delivered within fourteen (14) business days of purchase order issuance. Samples will be collected by District staff; the Contractor is responsible for coordinating with the Chemist to arrange transportation or shipment of samples to their analytical facilities. Billed items shall only include per-sample analytical costs. Costs for sample containers, accessories, PFAS free water, other materials, coolers and shipping containers, and transportation/shipment must be prorated into the per-sample analytical costs. No separate billing will be accepted for these costs.
