# Prior to application perform a field adhesion test to ensure compatibility of existing roof with the elastomeric modified spray roofing system # Apply a biodegradable cleaner and power wash the existing roof to remove dirt, debris, loose materials, asphalt patching products, and silicone caulking. # Apply a rust inhibiting primer to entire roof (if metal) that is compatible with the elastomeric modified spray roofing system to be applied. # Spray all horizontal & vertical seams as well as around any penetrations with elastomeric modified spray roofing product containing fibers at the minimum rate of fifty (50) wet mills. # All screws/fasteners shall be tightened and/or replaced and sealed with additional elastomeric modified spray roofing material product. # Roof surface shall be dry prior to installation of elastomeric modified spray roofing product. # Apply at a minimum rate of 1.5 gallons per square (minimum of 20 wet mills) of a polyurethane modified acrylic base coat (or equivalent equal product) over entire roof. # Lap lengths, application area around fasteners, and coverage lap/area around penetrations shall be per manufacturer. # Product to be white in color and have an 80% minimum reflectivity. # Apply at a rate of two (2) gallons per square (minimum of 30 wet mills) of fast curing polyurethane modified acrylic topcoat (or equivalent equal product) to create a seamless, watertight membrane over entire roof surface. # Contractor to have available for use by KYTC - a wet mil gauge – for spot checking during the installation of products supplied. Manufacture Representative of products shall be available if questions arise by KYTC.
