KET is seeking a DMX lighting control system programmer to program lighting schemes and presets for television studio sets. Studio A and Studio B projects will occur independently separated by several months. Exact lighting fixture installation and programming dates are still unknown; however, November 2025 is the current estimate for the lighting installation and DMX programming in Studio A to begin. Dates may shift forward or backward in the calendar as other deliverables and project components demand. Lighting fixture installation and DMX programming for Studio B is currently forecast for July 2026.Mutually agreeable dates for all work will be sought. Please plan to include two return visits per studio for final adjustments. KET requests that bidders communicate any blackout dates that fall during July 1, 2025 - August 1, 2026 to the agency so that the timelines can be coordinated. The programmer must have extensive experience and knowledge of broadcast television industry current best-practices in lighting and must be able to meet all technical lighting standards while also meeting aesthetic approval of supervising KET team. Demonstrated experience with contemporary LED television lighting fixtures and DMX control systems required. The programmer should have working knowledge and experience with ETC network administration, DMX gateways, opto-isolators, RDM, sACN and Art-Net devices and protocols, and programing within multiple universes such as with complex nationally televised broadcast television productions through PBS.
