The Department of Natural Resources is seeking bids for: the labor, equipment, materials, tools, transportation, and incidentals necessary to provide a fully qualified, 6-person prescribed burn holding crew along with specified support vehicles and equipment for intermittent use during the spring 2025 (May 15– June 15) burn season. Up to 10 separate call-outs totaling up to 100 hours of standby and operating time are included. Burn activities will take place on multiple burn units in and around the Lac qui Parle Wildlife Management Area in Lac qui Parle, Chippewa, and Big Stone Counties. All burns will have a DNR burn boss on site leading burn activities. Crew shall consist of (5) prescribed burn personnel qualified at an FFT2 (Basic Firefighter) level, and at least (1) individual qualified at the Burn Boss, Ignition Specialist, or Single Resource Boss (Firing Boss, Crew Boss, or Engine Boss) level. Contractor must provide qualification and equipment information as part of their bid submission.
