This work consists of 14.24 shoulder miles of asphalt shoulder widening. The work will include removal of earth /asphalt from edge of existing asphalt (Debris will need to be removed from right of way daily), compacting shoulder with a vibratory compactor and placing asphaltic concrete widening. Shoulder widening shall skip all concrete driveways. The contractor shall not remove any existing 2 ft. asphalt shoulders unless directed by the engineer. Shoulder widening shall be both Northbound and Southbound. The Recycled Asph Conc 19 mm Superpave, Gp 1 or 2, Incl Bitum Matl & H Lime shall be included in the Shoulder Paving/Widening bid price. The contractor will be responsible for supplying all materials, equipment, incidentals, waste disposal, and labor.
