1.7.1 The contractor will provide all equipment, materials, parts, and labor to replace and install one (1) new Air Handling Unit (AHU) located on the rooftop of the B-Wing of Patuxent Institution (PATX), 7555 Waterloo Road, Jessup, Maryland 20794. Work required will be in accordance with the specifications set forth in the scope of work for this project and will be performed under the general supervision of maintenance staff at PATX. 1.7.2 The contractor must remove the old AHU and install the AHU that meets current performance and regulatory specifications. The new AHU will include steam coil functionality, DX standard coil performance, Symbio integration for Discharge Air Temperature (DAT) control, to ensure temperature regulation and system reliability. All work must be completed in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations, including Maryland Occupational Safety and Health (MOSH) standards, and must follow manufacturer-recommended installation procedures to ensure proper functionality and the sustainability of the new system. The newly installed AHU must match the existing systems’ specifications, including: a) Steam Coil b) DX Standard Coil c) 40°F Airside Delta T (60°F to 100°F) d) 5 PSI Steam e) Modulating 2-way valve f) Symbio Integration for Discharge Air Temperature (DAT) Control g) Frostat Freeze Protection h) Steam Traps, Strainers and Vacuum Breakers
