The City of New York is committed to achieving excellence in design and construction across its portfolio of public works, building on the tradition of innovation in architecture and engineering that has contributed to the City’s prestige as a global destination. As the City’s primary capital project delivery agency, DDC works with other City entities, community partners, and the architecture, engineering, and construction industry to design and build many of the civic facilities New Yorkers use every day. These include firehouses, libraries, recreation facilities, courthouses, senior centers and more, as well as facilities for maintenance, operations, and administration to support the dayto-day operations of the City. DDC also delivers roadway, sewer and water main construction projects in all five boroughs, as well as street reconstruction plazas, pedestrian bridges, coastal resiliency infrastructure, green infrastructure and pedestrian ramps.
