provide Enhanced Recovery House services to individuals, which are defined as a safe and supportive living environment to individuals reintegrating back to the community from and/or awaiting admission to inpatient Substance Use Disorder (SUD) treatment. Please note that DMHAS-contracted recovery houses have on-site staff 24/7 and offer case management services whereas DMHAS-funded sober houses are not required to have as much staffing or services. The program cannot be both a Recovery House and a Sober House, but a sober house is eligible to transition fully to this Recovery House, if awarded. This includes the provision of on-site staff twenty-four (24) hours per day, seven (7) days a week to individuals who will simultaneously participate in and access communitybased services, including and not limited to recovery supports and licensed outpatient treatment services. Please note individuals receiving Enhanced Recovery House services will have medical needs that require on-site nursing support. There will be a full-time dedicated staff member to assist individuals access communitybased services, including but not limited to transportation to community-based recovery supports, medical appointments and outpatient treatment services. Individuals should have the ability to choose services, including services provided outside of the agency.
