The Administrator will serve as liaison to the New Jersey Board on Continuing Legal Education (NJ CLE) and maintain records and administer at least 24 continuing legal education (CLE) program credits for attorneys in the Prosecutor's Office. The position requires the Administrator to be present at all Continuing Legal Education (CLE) program presentations and verify attendance. The Administrator must also be familiar with caselaw, court rule, and statutory changes, and will be required to update a brief bank maintained by the ECPO to reflect those ongoing changes. The Administrator will also serve on the Essex County College Public Safety Academy Advisory Board and will have teaching and administrative responsibilities at the Essex County College Public Safety Academy. The Administrator will provide legal instruction to Basic Recruits, Corrections, and SLEO classes on Title 2C Offenses, Legal Requirements of Search and Seizure, Use of Force, Miranda, Identification, and Evidence. Classes may be conducted during daytime, evening, and weekend hours.
