The purpose of this bid specification is to provide the Essex County Parks Department with the services of a licensed professional for invasive plant species control. The successful bidder will work in conjunction with the Parks Department designee, which will guide the vendor as to what areas / sites need to be addressed. The successful bidder will provide all manpower, equipment, time and materials to complete the eradication of the target invasives. Vendor must be able to address all plant species as identified in Appendix A, Policy Directive 2004-02, as provided by the NJ DEP. In addition, vendors must remain up to date on emerging invasive plant species. A list of potential invasive plant species are listed in Appendix B, NJ Invasive Species Strike Team – 2025 Watch List.
