The City of Santa Monica, (the City) is seeking proposals for a Large Format Flatbed printer or Hybrid printer and related service contract. We will be looking at Flatbed printer or Hybrid printer that will best fit the City's printing needs. We are limited with space and will not be able to fit a full-sized flatbed printer so we would like to see smaller medium sized printer. Required Specifications; A. The printer can be a Flatbed printer or a Hybrid printer. B. Ability to print on multiple types of rigid materials (ex. Foamboard, Gatorboard, Ultraboard, Plexi, Diebond, Metal, Wood, etc.) C. Medium sized printer, something with a smaller a full sized 4’x8’ flatbed footprint. D. High Resolution Color capabilities to produce high quality printing, with a minimum of 1200 dpi. E. Printer will need to use UV inks for outdoor use, and not require any special ventilation. F. Low maintenance printer that does not need to be run every day or purged every day. G. User friendly interface and software. H. Compatibility with stand-alone Cutters/CNC Router, needs to print barcode or other specific indicators for cutting machine to read and cut. I. Printer shall not require no more than one (1) 220v power supply. J. Delivery, Freight, installation of printer and software along with training should be included in the pricing.
