KCTCS is seeking a solution to address the need for a Medicare Advantage Plan for KCTCS 403(b) employees aged 65 and older through the KCTCS Other Postsecondary Employee Trust (OPEB) account. Coverage Requirements: Outline the specific benefits and coverage options for HMO, PPO, and traditional coverage plans for the following: o Medicare Advantage Plan, bundling Parts A, B, and D (Prescription Drug Coverage) o Reasonable premiums, manageable deductible, affordable copayments- minimize out-of-pocket expenses for plan holders. o Global Access to providers Enrollment Process: Describe the expected enrollment process and any support needed from the provider. KCTCS prefers a requirement/preference for participants to have an online enrollment option. Optional Coverage: Outline the specific benefits and coverage options for items available, for example: • Vision (exams, glasses/contacts) • Dental (preventative services (cleanings/exams), basic restoration services (fillings/extractions)) • Hearing (exams and hearing equipment) • Wellness Program and/or Fitness Program • Transportation Services (non-emergency transportation to medical appointments) • Telehealth Services • Other Services as Offered KCTCS currently has 761 participants on medical retirement plans, excluding separate vision and dental plans. 152 participants under 65 years of age with KCTCS 609 participants over 65 years of age with KCTCS Advantage Care Additionally, approximately 450 employees (both under and over 65) are currently eligible to retire and qualify for KCTCS medical retirement plans. Looking ahead, an additional estimated 250 employees are expected to become eligible for retirement and qualify for these plans in the future.
