The Georgia Building Authority (GBA), as “Owner” is seeking firms interested in providing Moving and Relocation Contractor Services (MRC) for projects on Capitol Hill on a Task Order basis. The successful MRC(s) will be offered a Task Order Contract for Moving and Relocation Services which will set hourly rates and unit prices and other terms for the performance of services. Projects may consist of, but may not be limited to, planning, site visits, supervision, providing materials, building protection and equipment, packing, disassembly and/or assembly of office furniture, and the coordination of manpower. Projects will be assigned to the MRC on an as needed basis by issuance of a project specific Assignment Order which will be mutually agreed upon and executed by the Owner and MRC. The Task Order Contract will be valid for a one-year term and may be extended for up to four additional one year terms at the Owner’s sole option. The assigned MRC will normally be under contract to supply moving services to complete projects and place the users of the facility in occupancy of the facility in a “turnkey” fashion. Once an agreed Assignment Order is executed between the Owner and the MRC, the MRC is responsible for completion of all relocation and set up as set forth in the Assignment Order. When applicable, the MRC holds appropriate trade contracts and trade supplier contracts. The MRC may be tasked with providing limited cost estimates, value engineering recommendations, and technical input on methods of moving, materials, and schedules. The MRC shall also develop and maintain a master project completion schedule. The MRC will assist the Owner in management and administration of the project. The MRC shall attend a pre-move walk-thru for each project to verify existing conditions including any existing damage to the facilities. MRC will protect all surfaces during a move, both internal and external, including walls, floors, doorways, elevators, stairways, etc. Upon project completion, all materials used for protection shall be removed from the site.
