This request is to procure services for individuals to serve as consultants for the MSDE to support the implementation of Maryland’s Autism Waiver. There is an anticipated need for multiple consultants. 1. Monitor secure server and dedicated emails for the transfer of information from provider agencies, Service Coordinators, families, and the MDH. 2. Screen Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and submitted documentation to determine technical eligibility for individuals waiting to receive an opportunity to apply to the AW. 3. Respond to inquiries from families seeking information about services and makes appropriate and informed referrals. 4. Assist with the tracking of Statewide AW Registry letters, refining and managing the Registry tracking database and developing formative and summative reports on the status of Registry letters. 5. Work collaboratively with the MDH, and their vendor that manages the AW registry, to support a seamless transition of registrants to the AW Waitlist and through the invitation to apply process as requested. 6. Refine and manage the tracking of Statewide AW application letters in the Online Application Tracking System (OATS) and/or LTSSMaryland to link with AW Waitlist and develop formative and summative reports on the status of AW applications. 7. Monitor progress and track correspondence regarding eligibility determination for prospective AW participants. 8. Track data, analyze trends, and prepare quarterly performance reports as per the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) approved AW Application, legislative requests, and departmental needs. 9. Track status of programming for transition youth (TY) and update tracking databases as required. 10. Review and approve AW requests and documents as requested, such as: plans of care (POC), requests for billing or technical support, live-in caregiver (LICG) exemption requests, etc.
