A. The work involves furnishing of labor, equipment, and materials necessary to construct the Aeolia Drive Sewer and Water Replacement Project, including, but not limited to: 1. The replacement of both potable water and sewer pipeline and service connections along Aeolia Drive in Auburn CA. The installation will replace approximately 875 LF of water pipeline and 1350 LF of sewer pipeline. The Contractor shall refer to the PCWA IMPROVEMENT STANDARDS, SPECIFICATIONS,AND DRAWINGS and these specifications for construction of water facilities. Please refer to Section 01354 for directions on the removal and disposal of hazardous material that is expected to be encountered during construction. The Contractor shall refer to Section F of the Special Provisions, City Standards in Appendix II and Contract Drawings for mainline sewer and service connections and testing. 2. After completion of the underground work, the Contractor shall replace the entire asphalt roadway section over the entire extent of the project. 3. The contractor shall pothole the site to verify outside diameter, material, and depth two weeks prior to any tie-in & outages being scheduled. Work shall be completed such that sewer service interruptions are minimized and of a duration of 8 hours or less, unless authorized by the Engineer. 4.
