The work covered by this specification includes all of the labor, material, equipment, appliances and services of all tradesmen required to furnish the District twenty-four (24) hour service, seven (7) days a week, three hundred sixty-five (365) days a year, on clocks, fire alarms, burglar alarms, sound/intercom systems, door egress and CCTV systems throughout the district to ensure they are operable. The Contractor shall be required to respond immediately. Immediate response it defined as one (1) hour or less to all emergency calls for service. The period of this contract awarded to the lowest responsible bidder will be in effect beginning July 1, 2025 and ending June 30, 2026 Service Contractor shall notify an authorized person upon arrival at the school to perform a preventative maintenance inspection. The contractor shall: A. Provide annual inspections and testing of all of the District’s burglar and fire systems in accordance with the NJ Uniform Codes. Contractor is to simulate alarms and power failures and document that systems function properly. The contractor is to verify receipt of alarm and trouble signals at the Central Monitoring Station in the Administration Building and inspect all equipment for signs of damage. B. Inspections to be coordinated with a representative of the Jersey City Authority having jurisdiction. C. Copies of all duly authorized signed inspection reports to be submitted to the District and the Jersey City Authority having jurisdiction.
