Moffitt Cancer Center is conducting a system selection process to identify a single enterprise platform for clinical and revenue cycle functions which will replace numerous legacy systems. The envisioned Electronic Health Record (EHR) system should empower the core pillars of cancer care – treatment, research, and patient support – and assist operational and IT users in the following areas: essential clinical workflows (acute care, hospital outpatient, ambulatory, and post-acute care); vital departmental systems (oncology services, genetics, anatomic pathology, cardiology, nephrology, laboratory, radiology, pharmacy, surgical services,); patient access processes, middle revenue cycle functions such as health information management, patient financial services such as professional and technical billing, contract management, AR collections, and follow up; business intelligence, reporting and analytics, and quality monitoring functionality designed to advance population health; and potential hosting of the EHR. Establishing a comprehensive single patient record will equip Moffitt Cancer Center to seamlessly integrate into the next generation of innovations in patient health record management.
