The city is seeking a firm to provide architectural and engineering design for a new fire station. Phase I – Design Development The Designer shall meet with the Fire Chief and his staff to understand Fire Department expectations for the project, review specific project needs, to determine budget and program requirements, and to evaluate the sketch plan provided in the RFQ. Based on this evaluation, the architect will prepare a conceptual plan and a conceptual level cost estimate for the project based on the following criteria: • One single story building of approximately 6,400 square feet with a two-bay drive through. • The building shall have the capacity to house up to eight firefighters, one engine, one 100- foot ladder truck and one EMS unit. • The building shall include a three-story training stairwell tower as part of the building.
