1) Review site designs from Green Schoolyard Grantees to provide feedback to increase benefits for campus health, learning, and outcomes for environmental and climate resilience with the highest benefits to students in mind. 2) Ideally one (1) review for draft design concepts and one (1) during construction documentation phase for each grantee. 3) These designs shall be submitted to Contractor via Portable Document Format (PDF) from the grantee. 4) Plan review recommendations shall consider and assist the site designs integration with school functions for educational spaces and how to increase the longevity of infrastructures while reducing maintenance burdens. 5) Contractor shall coordinate with project architect to review designs to ensure compliance with California Building Code (CBC) and the Division of the State Architect (DSA). 6) Specific activities include: a) Contractor shall review draft design concepts and construction documentation at two (2) stages: initial and post-construction. b) Contractor shall provide recommendations on how designs integrate with school functions, such as educational spaces, and how to extend the lifespan of schoolyard infrastructure while minimizing long-term maintenance. c) Contractor shall coordinate with architects to ensure designs meet CBC and DSA requirements. d) Contractor shall show past work in coordinating with various stakeholders, including architects, CAL FIRE, and grantees, for review, feedback, and ensuring compliance with all relevant codes...
