The City of Osawatomie hereby requests proposals from qualified and experienced housing developers interested in developing community housing on 30+ acres of platted and unplatted cityowned land (See Attachment A of this RFP). The city is seeking housing developers interested and capable of purchasing city-owned land and developing high quality housing stock in a quiet, wooded neighborhood adjacent to Trojan Elementary School. The successful bidder should be able to demonstrate an understanding of the Osawatomie community, its housing needs, and the unique attributes and opportunities of the Osawatomie area. Developers should provide evidence of successful experience in developing and managing traditional new subdivision projects and an ability to build the required infrastructure with or without the use of public assistance.
