This scope of work consists of two programs: UMass Chan Chemical Waste Management UMMMC Pharmaceutical & Chemical Waste Management UMass Chan currently has programs to manage the collection and disposal of non-regulated, regulated and p-listed chemical and pharmaceutical wastes. The selected supplier/vendor will assist with maintaining and improving the current programs that have previously been implemented at UMass Chan and UMMMC. UMass Chan/UMMMC currently manages programs with separate waste collection containers for RCRA hazardous chemical and nonhazardous, hazardous and p-listed pharmaceutical wastes in satellite accumulation areas throughout our campuses, which must be visually inspected with a documented inspection weekly, and waste containers removed and replaced as necessary (3/4 full or greater). Aspects of the current Programs include: Maintaining a regulatory compliant program to manage and dispose of hazardous chemical waste and both hazardous and non-hazardous waste pharmaceuticals. Waste profiling Formulary characterization for pharmaceutical wastes Identifying, setting-up, and maintaining satellite accumulation areas Maintaining a central/main accumulation area(s) for storage, segregation, packaging and disposal of chemical and pharmaceutical wastes Maintaining a system for satellite and main/central accumulation area container supply, transfer and storage Continually review the types, sizes and number of containers needed to work in conjunction with the internal labeling system Providing electronic training documents for UMass Chan, and on-site training for general staff during weekly SAA inspections if major deficiencies are identified.
