The City of Dover, NH has approximately 4959 catch basins in its storm water drainage system. The catch basins are divided into two sections of the city, a north end and a south end. The Community Services Department is responsible for the operation and maintenance of approximately 1,569 basins in the north end of the storm water system and 1,696 basins in the south end of the storm water system. Some of the catch basins are inaccessible via truckmounted cleaning equipment, thus they are not included for bidding estimates. The City traditionally tackles roughly ½ of the total basins each year. Last year the City cleaned 1,531 in the north end of the city. This year’s request for proposal will be for approximately 1,696 basins in the SOUTH end of the city. The City intends to identify a qualified vendor to remove all water and debris from approximately 1,696 catch basins in the SOUTH end of city while providing a basic condition assessment for each basin cleaned. Attachment C is a map of the storm water system in the south end and indicates which structures are to be cleaned in the summer of 2025. The successful vendor will be allowed to leave their equipment at the Dover Public Works Facility on Mast Road to help facilitate timely, daily operational activities, if they wish. The vendor selected will be responsible for transporting catch basin debris to the City of Dover Waste Water Treatment Plant 484 Middle Rd in Dover for proper disposal. All cleaning work is to be completed no later than December 31, 2025.
