Project consists of re-roofing the Cellblock Cypress at the Winn Correctional Facility, which has an area of approximately 28,800 SF and consists of low slope roofing. The existing low slope-roof system and related base flashing shall be removed down to the existing deck and receive new polyisocyanurate insulation (and tapered insulation) where required to achieve positive drainage, new associated metal and/or elastomeric flashing, adjustments if any to rooftop curbs and other rooftop mounted system, and the installation of a new State of Louisiana approved 20 year cold-adhesive applied, 2-ply modified bitumen roofing over rigid thermal over an existing structural concrete deck. Additional work is required to encapsulate existing clerestory windows behind new metal siding with new metal wall framing and all associated flashings. Project will be constructed under a single prime contract. Included in this project is an asbestos assessment which identified the presence and location of readily accessible Asbestos Containing Materials (ACM). As a result of this assessment, Abatement specifications have been developed and included in this project manual that shall be incorporated into the project scope.
