The Consultant firms(s) shall provide the County of Monmouth with professional contract administration and inspection services necessary for the Reconstruction of Bridge U-33 on County Route 539 (TrentonForked River Road) over Miry Run in the Township of Upper Freehold, Monmouth County, New Jersey. The work to be performed under this Contract consists of the complete removal of the existing bridge, consisting of a large corrugated metal arched pipe culvert and the staged construction of a new singlespan bridge. The bridge will be a precast concrete three sided rigid frame culvert on pile founded concrete footings, with steel 3 bar bridge railing attached to concrete pylons mounted on the wingwalls. Guiderail or crash cushions will extend from the pylons. The proposed work involves installation of a reno mattress and scour protection under the new bridge to the limits shown on the plans. Proposed improvements entail the staged demolition and removal of the existing bridge structure as well as staged installation of the new structure to allow CR 539 to remain open to traffic throughout the project.
