The South Carolina Department of Environmental Services (SCDES) is soliciting quotes from qualified vendors to supply and deliver triploid grass carp (white amur -Ctenopharyngodon idella) for control of nuisance aquatic plants in accordance with all requirements and specifications stated herein. Specifications include, but are not limited to: Requirements a. Offerors must have the expertise and facilities to produce or procure triploid white amur in the quantity and size range indicated. b. Offerors must have or procure the capability to transport the required quantity and size of triploid white amur, in a manner that ensures the healthy condition of the fish, from the point of origin to the stocking site within the time period indicated below. c. Offerors must comply fully with all requirements of the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources (SCDNR) for the introduction and stocking of triploid white amur in South Carolina. d. Offerors must have previously performed such services described below in a satisfactory manner. e. Offerors shall supply the triploid white amur by May 30, 2025. f. All fish must be delivered to Cohen Campbell Fish Hatchery, 2726 Fish Hatchery Road, West Columbia, SC 29172 for inspection and acceptance and then transported to designated site(s) for introduction into the waterbodies above with assistance of SCDES or waterbody staff. g. Offerors shall guarantee that all white amur supplied and stocked under the Contract are triploid. Offerors shall submit to all testing requirements of the SCDNR to verify triploidy and shall obtain all necessary certifications from the SCDNR. h. Offerors shall be responsible for compliance with all other State, Federal and local laws, codes, and regulations regarding the work being proposed. i. Offerors shall guarantee that the triploid white amur are alive and in a healthy, disease-free condition at the time the fish are stocked. j. Offerors shall guarantee that the triploid white amur are comprised of individuals with a minimum total length of twelve (12) inches and a maximum total length of fourteen (14) inches.
