Due to ongoing leaks at an overlapping joint, Woods Cross City is seeking proposals to replace the standing seam metal roofing on a portion of the roof at its Public Works Facility, 2287 S 1200 W, Woods Cross, Utah. Specifications include, but are not limited to: Woods Cross City requests proposals from Contractors for the partial roof replacement at the City Public Works Facility. The requirements of the work are: • The work shall be performed by licensed and insured personnel, following all OSHA and State requirements for this type of work, including any required permitting. • The roof to be replaced is located over the multipurpose room portion of the building. See attached Exhibit A. • The roof system shall be leak-tight, with manufacturer warranties and a 5-year contractor installation warranty. • The roof surface shall be covered with a “self-adhering polymer-modified bitumen sheet” or “self-adhesive ice barrier.” • Any roof projection shall have appropriate flashings required for this roof system. • New 24-gauge standing seam metal roofing with hidden fasteners, a 20-plus-year color warranty for a Kynar 500 finish or equal in the color that matches the existing roof and trim. A roofing profile that resists ”oil canning”. The metal panels shall span the entire length of the roof. There shall be no center seam. • New snow guard system that prevents Snow/Ice sluff off on the sidewalk below on the north side. Installation shall follow the manufacturer's instructions and not compromise the new roofing system or disrupt the function of the gutter system. • Replace any damaged flashing and/or trim in a color to match existing materials. The contractor shall identify any trim or flashing that will need to be replaced at the city’s expense in the bid documents. Any other material damaged during the removal of the existing roofing shall be replaced at the contractor’s expense. • The gutter system is to remain. • All existing roof materials, including felt or ice shield, shall be removed and disposed of following proper disposal guidelines for the type of materials.
