The scope of work includes the Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, and materials to replace lead or galvanized water service lines (Property Owner – Private and/or Mohawk Valley Water Authority (MVWA) - Utility) for approximately 475 partial services including excavation; protection of existing utilities and structures; installation of type K copper tubing, curb stop, curb box, etc.; connection to existing service in basement, at curb stop, and/or at corporation; backfill; compaction; site restoration including topsoil/seed, pavement, concrete, etc.; coordination; and service replacement tracking/documentation as shown and described in the Contract Documents. The MVWA will be awarding two (2) contracts for the Phase 1 Lead Service Replacement Project. Contract awards will be directed to the lowest two (2) responsible bidders. Should the second lowest bidder’s price not be within 5% of the lowest bidder, MVWA reserves the right to rebid the second contract.
