The purpose of this Request for Proposals is to acquire a qualified Contractor(s) with requisite experience, to provide Manatee County with Recycling Processing Services that, at a minimum, provide for receiving, processing and marketing all Program Recyclables delivered to the Contractor(s) by the authorized collectors of the County. It is the County’s intent that the following objectives are accomplished as a result of any final agreement with Contractor(s): • Maximize the financial benefit to the County from the sale of recovered materials. • Maximize the amount of recovered materials produced from the County’s Program Recyclables. • Maximize reliability and quality of service. • Support County recycling public education, community outreach, and other activities. • Form a cooperative partnership with the Contractor(s) to maximize the impact of public outreach and education on the quantity and quality of Program Recyclables.
