Greenville County Schools (GCS) is seeking a comprehensive digital credentialing platform to recognize and showcase the achievements of both teachers and students. The implementation will begin with a pilot group of teachers, before a district-wide launch. This platform will provide a secure and verifiable way to issue, manage, and share digital credentials, including those containing digital content and metadata for compatibility with external platform. The selected vendor will be responsible for the following: a. Platform Provisioning: Provide a robust and scalable digital credentialing platform that meets the functional and technical requirements outlined by GCS. b. Content Management: i. Platform-Generated Content: The platform should include a library of pre-made content, such as courses, learning modules, and assessments, that users can access to earn badges. ii. GCS-Generated Content: GCS will also create its own content, such as courses, learning modules, and assessments. This will allow GCS to tailor content to the specific needs of its teachers and students. iii. Content Management: The platform should provide tools and features that enable both the platform provider and GCS to create, store, and manage digital content associated with credentials.
