Construction and installation of a new fiber optic system consisting of fiber to homes, Middle Mile, and Point to Point Network in order to provide service to approximately 2500 premises. The system will be deployed with a mixture of both aerial and underground construction methodology. Placement of Loose tube fiber optic cables ranging from 48C-288C will be deployed, as well as splice and service drop locations. The construction-ready designs, splice documents, and permits will be provided to bidder upon award and will consist of the routes of backbone cables, deployment methodology (aerial vs underground), splice cases, vaults, cabinet locations (splitter and active), and service drop locations (OFDCs). The project will take place inside and closely adjacent to the Colville reservation boundary and will entail approximately 175 miles of total new build. There are areas where prior fiber optic cables have been placed that will be spliced into and utilized which are incorporated into the design and splicing documents. The areas of work will consist of three service zones that have been split into the West, Central and East areas of the Colville Reservation. • The West service zone will primarily be deployed in the East Omak area, as well as expanding east on HWY-155 and South on HWY-97. The project boundary to the west will be the Okanogan River. • The Central service zone will primarily cover the towns of Nespelem and Coulee Dam, as well as a middle-mile construction from the Columbia River north through Keller to Republic, WA. The majority of this route will be constructed along HWY-21. • The East section of the service zone will cover the town of Inchelium, with fiber extending South to Kewa, and north along Inchelium, Kettle Falls Rd for an additional 22 miles to HWY 20. • Connecting the West and Central zones together is the existing fiber optic plant on HWY-155 in existing underground micro-fiber. This will be utilized to provide fiber to the home, and additional trenching, handhole placement, and road boring/crossings will take place along this highway in areas where homes need service.
