A. The bridge fabrication requirements must include the following: 1. Approved colors must be Natural Earth (olive green, brown, or gray) tones to blend into surrounding area. 2. Railings to a height of fifty-four (54”) inches on both sides with a top cap, designed to meet ASHTO standards. 3. All hardware for bridge assembly must be included in kits. Note: All hardware must be corrosion/rust resistant. 4. Corrosion and rot-resistant FRP decking with anti-skid surface designed to carry pedestrian, equestrian, and light vehicles (ATV/UTV). 5. Provide full and complete directions for easy assembly/disassembly to accompany bridge kits. 6. Material certifications for all hardware and FRP members must be provided. 7. Bridge pieces must be labeled to facilitate easy assembly. 8. Bridge must be shipped in component parts or partially assembled. 9. Maximum weight of bridge pieces/sections must not exceed 150 lbs. due to sections being hand carried to site at a distance not greater than one mile. 10. Bridge pieces must be easily assembled on site without the use of electricity. Nonelectric hand tools will be the only tools available for assembly of bridge. B. Additional Details for the bridge: 1. Bridge kit is to be delivered with a complete set of drawings and calculations for all components sealed by a Professional Engineer, Registered in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
