The State University Construction Fund (SUCF) is seeking Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) from consultants to provide design and construction administration services for the Renovate/Construct Addition Donovan Hall for Health Science project at the State University Polytechnic Institute. Donovan Hall, constructed in 1988, is a 140,866 GSF, three-story building that houses laboratories, classrooms, and faculty offices for the Colleges of Engineering, Health Sciences, Business Management, and Arts and Sciences. The project will include interior renovation of approximately 10,000 GSF of Donavon Hall and an addition of approximately 15,000 GSF for the expansion of Health Science programs. The design process will include a program study at the beginning of design to confirm/identify space requirements. Site analysis is also required early in design to determine the exact location of the Addition. The addition and interior renovation include walls, floors, ceilings and finishes. New mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection systems are required. It is assumed that hazardous materials are present in the renovated areas. The addition will also require a dedicated heating system which complies with Fund Directive 1B-2, will be fully sprinklered, include site restoration/plantings, and will provide upgrades to meet current code and ADA requirements. The construction value is estimated at approximately $27,411,000.
