• Obtain all necessary permits • Obtain all necessary waste disposal approvals • Mobilization • Conduct pre-demolition engineering survey • Conduct professional surveys • Conduct abatement of regulated asbestos containing material (RACM) (refer to Section 028200 and Appendix VI for quantities • Remove hazardous materials from the building (refer to Section 028900 and Appendix VI for quantities) • Disconnect all utilities servicing the building • Demolish the building while maintaining integrity of adjacent structure • Remove the building concrete floor and foundation • Remove and dispose of the top 2 feet of soil below the concrete floor, which is impacted with perchloroethylene (PCE) and has hazardous waste code F002 • Remove and dispose of an underground storage tank (UST) which is believed to be located near the west wall of the building (size unknown but for bidding purposes assume it is 500 gallons in size) • Transport and dispose of all waste materials • Backfill, compact, and grade site restoration materials • Complete surface restoration with topsoil and grass • Implement traffic control and security measures for duration of Work • Demobilization and project close-out
