a. Conducting all necessary site inspections and due diligence to include geotechnical surveys of the proposed site. b. Collaborate with the City’s design team to ensure that the goals and objectives are included in the design. c. Evolve design through concept and establish an estimated budget for final design, construction drawings and final construction costs. d. Attend community engagement events as needed e. Concept design will include the following space needs with additional details provided upon award to the selected consultant: i. Public Areas: Restrooms, adult public areas, teen public areas, juvenile public areas, children public areas, local history room, media, meeting spaces (study rooms, large meeting room with storage), Messy Maker with storage, tech lab, entry/circulation desk, Friends of the Library 2nd Look Book Store, café lounge, outdoor space ii. Staff Areas & Storage: Storage, workroom, offices, break room/kitchen, staff restrooms
