The Borough of Metuchen operates and maintains a full range of municipal services. It employs approximately 136 employees and is organized into thirteen (13) departments; Administration, Finance, Court, Tax Assessor, Police, Recreation, Construction, Planning/Zoning, Public Works, Senior, Municipal Pool, Library and Health. The Finance Department is responsible for managing IT support services at the Borough, as well as strategic planning and coordination between various departments and the Borough’s IT service provider. The Borough’s entire IT staffing (which provides technician support, network administration, system administration, applications development and maintenance, data administration, and specific project development, implementation and support) has always been outsourced.
