Des Moines Water Works (DMWW) is soliciting proposals from qualified and licensed service companies to develop and administer a voluntary water service line protection program for residential customers. The selected provider will offer coverage for customer-owned water service lines, including curb stop/stop box repairs, leak repairs, and related surface restoration. The program aims to provide DMWW customers with education, affordable protection, quality repairs, and hassle-free claims management for service line issues. The contract will allow for cooperative marketing using DMWW branding and will require compliance with Iowa Code Chapter 523C and local plumbing code requirements. The initial term will be three years, with the potential for two one-year extensions.
