All components of the project must be defined in the environmental document if any portion of the project will be submitted for approval in a federally funded program. The Municipality agrees to complete all participating and any non-participating work included in this improvement consistent with the environmental document. No work on final engineering and design may occur prior to approval of the environmental document. Existing Facility and Proposed Improvement – The proposed improvement will undertake infrastructure improvements that will expand the current sidewalk network and provide safer access for students who walk/bike to Roberts Elementary School via curb extensions. There are five Safe Route to School corridors where pedestrian infrastructure is significantly needed within 1/4 mile of the school. The proposed sidewalk network expansion will connect a park, a mobile home park and multiple neighborhoods to the school and the added curb extensions will allow travel while providing safe locations for students and community members to cross Division Street, the main arterial route in Roberts.
