The purpose of this RFP is to accept proposals for a partnership with qualified applicants to provide phone application development services. This mobile app will be piloted in the Southeastern District. District counties include: Barbour, Butler, Coffee, Covington, Crenshaw, Dale, Geneva, Henry, Houston, and Pike. This app will be compatible with iOS and Android devices to provide users with comprehensive and user-friendly basic functions in effort to reduce infant death or injury. Preferred features of the application include: OPS location capabilities, notification capabilities, and gamification skills. The goal of the mobile app will be to reduce hot car deaths, increase safe sleep education, provide vaccine reminders, increase safety information, reduce infant death and injury rates, and provide the ability for the user to contact the local health departments.
