The DeFuniak Springs Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) through this Request for Proposal No. 25-01-CRA, is soliciting Proposals from qualified and experienced architects for design services for the development of a vacant CRA-owned commercial property at 27 Crescent Drive. The CRA’s goal for this property is to encourage revitalization in the Downtown Core by facilitating occupancy and overall site activation as a potential arts center. Responsive proposals will be evaluated based on the (1) firm’s experience and credentials, (2) approach and understanding of the project, creativity in past work, (3) cost clarity and control, (4) ability to meet service requirements, and (5) quality of references from similar projects. Proposals shall address planning, design, and project implementation. The core objective of this project will be to provide a design standard document to provide citizens, property owners, staff, and other interested parties with design guidance for parcels within the historic districts to include, but not limited to: • Attending public meetings and fostering public participation • Site analysis and as-built documentation • Conceptual design(s) • Design development and construction documentation • Regulatory coordination Respondents must have expertise in Community Redevelopment Agencies and/or municipal and county government processes. The respondent must be a licensed architect authorized to practice in the state of Florida.
