This RFP covers only the purchase of playground equipment, including freight and applicable sales tax, and design services (as applicable). The City will issue a separate RFP for selection of a contractor for the demolition, installation, sub-base preparation, and surfacing after the playground equipment has been selected. All equipment shall be ADA-compliant, designed for children ages 5-12, and include additional features for younger children where specified. The selected vendor must provide construction-level installation documents within 30 days of contract award to facilitate the subsequent installation bid process. Each park location identified in this RFP will be treated as an individual project for proposal purposes. Proposers must submit detailed, line-item pricing for each park. This allows the City flexibility in selecting the most appropriate scope of work based on project readiness, budget constraints, and community priorities. The City expressly reserves the right to proceed with any combination of the projects—including one, two, all three, or none—at its sole discretion. The budget for each project includes procurement, design, freight, and applicable sales tax only. The budget does not include demolition, installation, sub-base preparation, or surfacing. A separate RFP will be issued for those services following the selection and acquisition of playground equipment. The selected vendor shall prepare construction-level installation documents within 30 days of contract award. These documents will support the City’s solicitation of installation services through a separate RFP process.
